We recognize that change is always met with some level of resistance, which signals there is something to be learned.
What's Going Away?
The previous membership site (hosted by Memberize) gave us flexibility and relieved some administrative burdens yet simply being better at processing did not respond to the shifts around us nor the desires for individuals to participate in meaningful ways. We thank you for your patience and apologize for the old system that could only make room for your efficiencies and your capabilities. We are all excited at helping shape a more lifelike and life giving collaborative community. Our new home is www.mbodlg.org.
What's the Same?
As in the past, we are enjoying using these shifts as a laboratory for experiential and applied learning commensurate with each of our desires, interests and capabilities. This was the foundation of this group and remains strong as we continue to transform and become even more aligned with the core values that put the MassBayODLG on the map.
What's New?
The most noticeable change is that our new website has more than a fresh look to it. It includes the capability to create an infrastructure that is both timely in helping you connect with our immediate/local community, but also allows us to broaden our exposure and therefore learning opportunities.
Social Media is here to stay so we are learning (by doing) how to help our community take advantage of this medium to become even more connected. Some of us who began as skeptics have remained open and are now immersed in this new world of learning opportunity.

As you see, we have a new logo, a new format to our newsletter and a website and blog feature that allows us to connect around content, issues and interests. Behind the scenes, additional member benefits are available. Many members commented on the difficulty of maintaining multiple profiles with majority using Linked-In as a primary profile. You will be able to set your Linked-In profile as your default profile. Our host, HubSpot is a recognized leader in Internet Marketing.

The plethora training and marketing tools that are available to members will be rolled out over the next few months.
We are excited about the opportunities ahead of us. If you have program / content considerations we would welcome your inputs at programs@mbodlg.org. If you would like to learn more of how to participate in any of the applied learning opportunities please introduce yourself to Priscilla Goodman at pgoodman@mbodlg.org or Ernest Byers at ebyers@mbodlg.org.
Thank you all.
