What is the Mentor Program at MassBay ODLG?
The Mentoring Program provides a way for experienced, established OD professionals to connect with new, growing OD professionals to share experiences and knowledge!
The ODLG will connect members that would like to participate in the program based on level of experience and area of expertise. It is the mentor/mentee’s responsibility to define the type of interactions they would like to have.
How it works:
The mentoring program provides the pairing of mentors and mentees for a three month period. The mentor and mentee pair can design a contract together and mutually determine the details of their interaction. Periodic facilitated mentor/mentee events will be sponsored by the ODLG where the mentor/mentee can highlight their achievements together.
Why Be a Mentee?
As a Mentee your opportunity for learning and development in the Organizational Development field is unlimited! Mentors can not only provide knowledge in an area you are new to, but may also offer real world opportunities for real world experience. If you are looking for someone to guide you through your OD professional career path, then the mentor/mentee program is for you.
Why Be a Mentor?
Your experience as a Mentor can be equally rewarding! As a Mentor, you will have the opportunity to share your career experience and offer guidance to someone new to the field. We also strive to align mentor/mentee with similar passion and personality so your experience as a Mentor can be mutually beneficial as you learn from your Mentor as well.
Sounds great, how do I sign up?
You can sign up through completing the mentor/mentee form. Please complete the form as fully and detailed as possible so that we can pair you up with the best match for you. You will then meet your Mentor/Mentee and develop a contract for how you will work together. The Mass Bay ODLG will follow you for three months and may sponsor Mentor/Mentee events to highlight your progress. At the end of the three months, the Mentor/Mentee pair can defined their future interactions.
